Who we are
Pets @ Rest is a family-run pet crematorium based at Unit 6, Forgehammer Industrial Estate, Cwmbran, NP44 3AA, serving South Wales and the West Country. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit this website or get in touch with us, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. We do not use this website to build customer profiles, track you across other sites, or sell your data. The information we collect falls into two situations:
1. Contact form enquiries
Our Contact Us page has a form asking for your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message. When you submit it, this information is sent by email to us so we can reply to your enquiry — it is not stored in a database on our website.
2. Urns & caskets enquiries
On our Urns & Caskets page, each item has an “Enquire about this item” link that takes you to our Contact Us form with that item noted for you. No details about your browsing are stored or sent until you fill in and submit the contact form yourself.
How we use your data, and our legal basis
We use the details you send us solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange collection of a pet, discuss urns and caskets, or otherwise provide the services you've asked about. Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest — responding to enquiries you have voluntarily made — and, where a service is later arranged, taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses a single essential item of browser storage to remember your cookie banner choice. We do not currently use any analytics or marketing cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share data with
We don't sell or rent your data. A small number of trusted service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to help us run this website and respond to you:
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and its infrastructure.
- Web3Forms — the form delivery service our contact form uses to send your enquiry to us.
We may also need to share information with our vet partners or delivery contacts where necessary to collect a pet or return ashes, urns or caskets to you. We will only ever disclose personal data where the law requires it, such as to a regulatory or law enforcement body.
How long we keep your data
Contact form and enquiry messages are kept in our email inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and keep a record relating to any service arranged, and are deleted when no longer required.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data

This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
